- If you live in a private community, gated community, or homeowners association (HOA) then it’s likely that your street cleaning is performed by a private sweeping company (not the city). Contact your HOA representative to find out the schedule.

What time does the sweeper pass?
Residential neighborhoods in Santa Barbara are swept during the daytime. Commercial and arterial routes and downtown are swept at night.
Does the Street Sweeper Pass on Rainy Days?
Heavy rains will cause street sweeping to be canceled. If you’re expecting rain you can call the Santa Barbara street sweeping hotline at 805-879-1903.
Check the hotline before assuming that sweeping is canceled!
Parking enforcement in sweeping zones is canceled on days that sweeping is canceled.
